Inviting. Discreet. Savvy. Refined.
Want to know what’s hot in the area? Ask a local! Angie Simon was born
and raised in Hampton Roads calling the Southside home sweet home!
Angie has been in guest and client service sales since the age of 16. She
began her “people skills” in high school, joining the DECA team. (DECA
prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance,
hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.)
Angie’s experience with DECA sealed her fate to develop her skills in
assisting and helping others! After high school, Angie pursued the medical
field and went to school to become a medical assistant while working parttime
as a server and bartender in the local restaurant scene. After completing
the medical assistant course, she jumped right into the field and started to
work full-time, but realized something was missing. She decided she needed
to do something else.
Angie went back to the restaurant business, as she was drawn to making
others happy, even with food. She quickly realized it was the service aspect
that she loved. Helping others celebrate, smile, and get together to have a
good time was her niche.
There was still something missing, so she went back tot school to get her
Associates in Business Management. She took that knowledge and became a
restaurant manager for a large corporation for 12 years.
While she loved where she worked, it still wasn’t exactly what she was
looking for. She knew that if she could sell a steak to regulars and bring in
new customers, she could sell anything. With that thought, she moved to
selling real estate where she knew that selling a home to family would
exceed any steak making memories.
The moment she stepped into real estate, she knew she had found it, “I have
never felt more at home in my destined career choice than I do now as being
a Realtor! I am grateful that others not only value my experience in customer
service and satisfaction, but also trust me in their biggest investment
decision of their lives.”
Not only has she been able to put a smile on people’s faces, she has been
able to help them find a home to create life-long memories in. For her, that is
the absolute greatest reward of her career.
Angie's personal interest and hobbies are cooking, gardening, creating art and jewelry. When she has free time she loves to spend her summer days in Sandbridge at the beach with friends and family. During the winter she embraces those short days and long nights to hone in on her ever evolving cooking skills. Angie has been gluten-free for almost 3 years, so going out for dinner can be a challenge. But that does not stop her from creating and enjoying great food as there are many options still to tempt those taste buds.
